CIF Water Polo

BOYS CIF WATER POLO RESULTS (from Coach Wong)
On Tuesday Irvine boys’ water polo team played Long Beach Poly in a CIF Wild Card game. Irvine got to a fast start and at half was leading 10-2. They continued their pace and won 16-6. Goalie junior Brian Xu had 8 blocks, junior Jacob Lee lead the team with 4 goals, senior Isaiah Baker and junior Justin Hatch scored 3 goals.

Irvine was then awarded the opportunity to play the defending CIF champions Harvard West Lake on Veterans Day!  Irvine played them last year as well and lost 22-2. This year we wanted to double our goal output and the final outcome was 20-6. That is a 200 percent increase for us. Nice. Our leading scorer was Team Captain senior Micah Kamai scoring 3 goals. Goalie Brian Xu  made 5 blocks.

Thanks to all who supported us this year. We hope to become better people and players as progress forward.
